Filter Dimension Measurement & Custom Matching Guide
When your old filter's part number is faded, use a digital caliper to measure these 4 key dimensions for a fast factory match:
1. Thread Spec (Crucial)
- Metric: Thread OD + Pitch (e.g., M24 x 1.5).
- Imperial: Thread OD + Threads Per Inch (e.g., 1"-16 UN).
- Tip: Never force fit! M20x1.5 and 3/4"-16 look similar but will ruin threads.
2. Gasket Dimensions
- Measure Gasket OD & Gasket ID to prevent oil/fuel leaks under pressure.
3. Canister Outer Diameter (OD)
- Measure the widest part of the metal can to fit bracket space.
4. Overall Height (H)
- Measure top gasket to bottom dome to ensure clearance.
