Crankcase ventilation includes natural ventilation and forced ventilation. Modern gasoline engines often use forced crankcase ventilation, also known as pcv system. When the engine is working, the intake pipe vacuum draws fresh air through the air filter, the air hose enters the cylinder head cover, and then the cylinder head and the holes in the body enter the crankcase. After mixing fresh air and crankcase gas in the crankcase through the cylinder cover PCV valve and the crankcase gas hose enter the intake pipe and finally enter the combustion chamber through the inlet valve. According to the different working conditions of engine, the opening degree of PCV valve is different, and the amount of air passing through is also different, so the ventilation of crankcase is controlled.
