When servicing the air filter, carefully check the color and contrast of the filter paper on the inner and outer surfaces of the paper filter. The used filter element, the outer surface of the exposed side of the atmosphere is grayish black due to the deposition of dust, and the inner surface of the filter paper facing the side of the inlet should still show its true color. If the dust on the outer surface of the filter element is removed and the color of the filter paper is revealed, the filter element can continue to be used.

1. Loosen the filter lock, remove the nut that fixes the filter element, remove the cover and pull out the filter element. Take out the filter element and take care to prevent impurities from falling into the carburetor. Wipe the inside and outside of the air filter case with a rag and gasoline.


2. From the inside of the filter element, blow up the dust on the inner and outer surfaces of the filter element evenly in the oblique direction. If there is no compressed air, tap the filter element with a screwdriver handle and brush the external dirt with a brush.


3. Check the filter element after cleaning and drying. Light the illuminator and place it inside the filter element to see if there are any damage, small holes or thin parts from the outside, and check the rubber gasket for damage. Replace the filter element and gasket if abnormal.


4. Replace the filter element of the air filter. Replace according to the regulations of each model. When replacing the filter element, it should be checked whether the new filter element is damaged or not. If the gasket is defective, the defect should be found.


Install the air filter. After the filter element has been cleaned, install the parts in the reverse order of removal. The filter element must be securely installed. It is not advisable to touch the paper part of the filter element with your hand or appliance, especially if the oil does not contaminate the filter element.
