The Principle and Hazards of Oil Filters

Purpose: Mainly used to remove impurities such as solidified substances in engine oil, metal particles, carbon precipitates, and soot particles generated during engine operation, in order to minimize the friction generated by various components during operation, reduce energy loss, and protect the service life of the engine.

Principle: The carbon deposits and impurities generated by the engine during operation are filtered through the filter paper inside the oil filter element. A very important component within the oil filter element is the bypass valve. If the filter paper inside the oil filter is severely blocked, the oil cannot enter the engine through the filter paper, and the oil pressure rises. After reaching a certain pressure, the bypass valve opens, and the oil enters the engine through the release valve, providing lubrication to various components and maintaining normal engine use

Replace the excavator oil filter every 250 hours of use. The use of inferior oil filters can directly lead to major engine repairs of components such as the crankshaft, connecting rods, camshafts, pistons, piston rings, etc. inside the engine.
